Here are some recipes for spinach that will really surprise you. Have you ever
heard of blending your greens in fruit smoothie recipes?

Hold on there… Don’t click the back button. I don’t want you to miss the awesome
benefits of green smoothies that I and so many others have experienced through the
years.

A green smoothie is really yummy! All they consist of is spinach, or some other
green, blended with fruit to make a smoothie. Sometimes they are green, but most
of the time my smoothies are purple due to the blueberries. I actually enjoy the
brilliant bright green color of a spinach pineapple smoothie.

Spinach is one of the easiest leafy green to hind in fruit smoothies. Hence, the
easiest green to start with your kids. Kale and swiss chard being the hardest.
So, I usually recommend for all beginner green smoothie junkies to start with
spinach. One to two large handfuls of raw spinach is a good start. Then, work your
way to four to six handfuls. You will be surprised how your taste buds will quickly
grow accustomed to the flavor of the larger amounts of spinach.

Please keep in mind… These are basic spinach recipes. You can add other nutritive
goodies to add even more benefits, such as chia seeds, herbal teas, green drinks, etc.
As with all greens, you should buy organic. All leafy greens easily soak up the

pesticides and need to be washed very thoroughly if bought conventionally. On the
other hand, you are much better off buying non-organic greens than no greens at
all!
The best form of spinach for your spinach recipes is fresh. You can also use frozen
spinach and save money. Just keep in mind that you will need to add more liquid or
use fresh fruit in order for your blender to blend it correctly.

Now, go and try some of these recipes! You will not get the benefits of spinach
unless you go and drink it yourself.

Fruitless Green Smoothie Recipe
Top tips on how to make your own sugar free green smoothie recipe! These
stevia recipes use healthy smoothie ingredients to make a vegan smoothie.

When I found out that a friend of mine from college was diagnosed with Lymphoma,
I made it my personal mission to create a yummy green smoothie recipe and
chocolate sugar free desserts that she could drink.

Her doctors have told her not to have any fruit (except a 1/4 cup of organic berries a
day) until her cancer is gone. For some people, giving up the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream
would be difficult. Giving up fresh fruit was very challenging for her.

She had grown to love green smoothies. While I stayed with her for three weeks, we
tried different all different types of sugar free smoothie recipes. Some were a hit.
And some were not. :)
Top Four Tips for a Fruitless Green Smoothie
#1 Avocados are a great way to add creaminess to the smoothie instead of the
banana.
#2 Berry flavored green drinks add a sweet fruit taste without the fruit sugar. This
are a must!
#3 Use lemon juice! This add flavor to cover up the green taste.
#4 Use plenty of ice. At least have enough ice to cool the smoothie.

As you can see… I have been trying out blended salads. Blended salads are pretty
much smoothies made with all veggies. They look like a green smoothie, but taste
much different. Add the garlic and onion gradually! You don’t want to be walking
around smelling like a pizza parlor.

Hopefully, our green smoothie testing shows you that you can make a great green
smoothie without or with little fruit!
